ERS Team James G. Tallon, Chairman With close to 3 decades of experience in the field of medical education, Jim Tallon and his staff have pioneered many new approaches in programmed learning and have produced hundreds of programs, workshops, audiovisual presentations, and videotapes for major pharmaceutical companies, both national and international. Jim started his career as an associate account executive for Benton and Bowles Advertising in New York. He joined Aimes Education, a general training and consulting firm in 1970 as a vice president and later became president of the company. In 1972, he founded Instructional Techniques Ltd. (ITL) and refocused the company's services to meet the healthcare industry's changing needs. Recent activities include computer-assisted instruction, computer simulations, Level 3 interactive videodisc programs, and DisCourse, an interactive videodisc learning system. In 1982, a medical education division known as Consultants in Medical Education (CME) was added. ITL/CME employed 40 people. It was sold to Excerpta Medica, a division of Reed Elsevier in 1990. Jim retired from ITL/CME in August of 1993 and later joined with Gregg Terry to form ERS. |
